RE: Shipping dates

The shipping information at https://help.prusa3d.com/article/shipping-information_2297 has just been updated. The table for the Core One is now an official "decoder" that  translates batch numbers into shipping weeks -- but it no longer mentions to which order dates the batches correspond.

My order (No. 1738256xxx, placed Jan. 30) is indicated as being Batch 9 on the "Order details" page for it.

RE: Shipping dates

just saying, if I remember correctly on the specs page it still says, mmu3 compatible add-on or something like that. compatible might be a loose term in this case as we know this is not really the case, but at least it doesn't state mmu3 incompatible, please wait for an mmu4

RE: Shipping dates

I wouldn't - I would go for it now and pay the one overall shipping cost, rather then paying additional shipping later.

The MMU3 will be, and is, completely compatible with the Core One. Prusa are holding back as they are still refining how it will fit and the external drybox solution. The MMU3 itself will largely be untouched as they have mentioned already that it is a good, reliable solution that works well (which in my experience, it does). The biggest change to the unit will be how it hooks onto the Core One frame, and this may result in a redesign of the stand/bracket that is currently used to hook it onto a MK4/MK4s frame. This will not result in a 'MMU3 upgrade kit' of any kind. It does not need any major upgrade to be compatible with the Core One. At most it will mean printing some different stands that bolt onto the MMU3 itself to replace the current stand design (which is also 3D printed anyways) - and looking at their size, that's a 1.5hr print at most.

The is similar to my impression. I would have like to have the fiddly approach of enabling it already and let the experienced user do their own stands, but as we know Prusa, they want to have it perfected for all users first (although it would not be much to figure out as it is basically a MK4 with another drive configuration without impact on the MMU. It might already work, I don't know.). A stand constructed in Fusion adds another 10 minutes to the print time. But on the other hand, my Core Ones are not delivered yet and the MMU is the least thing I need.

What just came to my mind: Is the cable actually long enough to go once around the tank like cage? Maybe an extension will be needed nevertheless.

RE: Shipping dates

Just realised that the Batch 2 shipping date adjusting to Feb 12 means that Prusa won't finish Batch 1 until Feb 11... 🙁

Def not making any valentines prints this year.

(I'm in batch 1)

RE: Shipping dates

So far the shipping dates seem to be stable. My second order on other things than Core One shifts at least every day back and forth (unfortunately the former more often than not), while the Core Ones are stable so far. I am curious when we reach the shift from batch 1 to 2. I expect slight "refinement" to the following deliveries.

RE: Shipping dates

Out of curiosity, anybody from the second batch got a shipping notice already ?  Just wondering.

Yes, mine is from that second batch and if I receive it end next week, its still as promised, but hey sooner is better eh  🙂

RE: Shipping dates

I ordered a Core One kit on 31Jan. As of yesterday, my order shows "Shipping dates: TBA" where it used to be blank. All good-  however long it takes is certainly fine. I'd much rather wait vs order anything else. It cracks me up how many people recommend another brand because it's "cheaper." Purchase price is only one small part of the equation.

Same here. Today's the day my batch starts and I've still heard literally nothing at all.

I kinda just want to be kept in the loop.

just saying: if you are in batch 2 some might here nothing till one day before batch 3 starts to ship. Nevertheless I am hoping someone may even confirm at least one printer to have been dispatched from batch 2. Just to get the feel how strict the timeline is

I was in batch one, and I got finally my shipping notice this morning, so I'm guessing people in batch 2 will start to get them soon.

RE: Shipping dates

Well I did read that yesterday someone received shipping email for the order placed on the Nov 20th, that's two days worth more orders BEFORE the Batch two starts to ship. Reading between the lines and understanding that the response for orders has been huge I am leaning towards the fact that Batch 2 hasn't started due to many more from Batch one have to ship first. Hopefully I am wrong and we start to see others post about batch one dates/order date so we can better understand Batch 2 status.
Super fluid logistics due to demand and manufacturing limits but time will tell. Beingnin Batch 2 I'm hoping before March 15th anything before that date is a win

RE: Shipping dates

I ordered day 1,  about 8pm European time.  No extras since the longest lead time of any item in the order will determine shipping.

My CoreOne was delivered  Feb 10th.    Texas, USA

Ordered my kit on 3rd Feb, I'm in the UK and delivery date as yet is TBA. I did end up adding the hardened nozzle, filter and some filament, so maybe this has delayed it? Unsure if kits are shipping before assembled units or not, but either way I'm excited for my first 3D printer. Just now deciding if I should order an MMU and get everything in one go?

It says on the product page (and always has said so) that shipping of kits is planned to start in March. Extrapolating from prior experience, that probably means "late March" if things go well.

Prusa began taking kit orders on January 31st and there was quite a rush on that day, with the website getting dragged down by the heavy load. Since these orders will ship first, I would not expect a February 3rd order to ship before April, maybe well into April.

There is no "official" MMU with the proper mounting and cover for the Core One yet. I would wait with that additional order.

Thanks Jurgen.

Re: MMU, is the general consensus in the community, that maybe there will be a mk4 version coming soon? I get the feeling that maybe there will be a revision to the design since quite a few other brands have started offering sleeker enclosed units? I'm new to this community but have been watching as many videos and reviews etc as I can to educate myself, hence the joining here, as forums are a wealth of information if you are prepared to dig 😊

Thanks again.
