RE: Shipping dates
For reference: My batch 10 (April 1) assembled core one with camera just shipped.
RE: Shipping dates
Batch 11 core one assembled with camera ordered on 02/11/25. Just got a shipping confirmation. Emailed and got no response. Did the online chat and got someone to look into it. They said it would ship by the end of the week and it did.
RE:
I have a 2/8 kit order. Anyone with a kit get a shipping date yet? I'm unsure what batch I'm in. i wish they would just publish the order date range for the batches.
RE: Shipping dates
Have you checked your order? I have been showing a shipping date on my order (ordered Feb 14, batch 7 shipping ETA May 26) since the beginning of April. If yours still says TBD you might want to reach out to support and see what's up.

RE: Shipping dates
I received a helpful reply from prusa finally after posting:
Thank you for reaching out to us and choosing our products.
I hope you are doing well.
The batch assigned to your order 173900XXXX is batch 5 (Estimated shipping from May 14).
You can check the batch number of your order in the order list found in your Prusa account. Just click on the order number and scroll down to the product list. You’ll see the assigned batch in a yellow label.
Since the camera is not holding the order, it is not necessary to cancel it.
So very good news! Shouldn't be much longer.
RE: Shipping dates
Has anyone received composition information from Prusa in the past? FedEx into the USA gave me a super tight timeline or they'll ship the package back. They're asking for:
Material composition of item(s) (steel, rubber, plastic etc.) or (100% Cotton, 50% Polyester/50% Nylon, etc.)
If the composition includes any percentage of steel or aluminum, we will need the following information:
• For each steel item
o Country of melt and pour:________
o Percentage value of steel content:______
• For each aluminum item
o Primary country of smelt:_______
o Secondary country of smelt:______
o Country of cast:_____
o Percentage value of aluminum content:_____
Note: For items with both steel and aluminum, we will need separate percentages for each

Get with Prusa. Yes there have been a few others on another thread.
I have no idea why FedEx is asking the consumer these questions. Like they're going to have any idea. It's quite nonsensical actually.

They are asking the importer, i.e. the person (or entity) legally responsible for the import. Makes good sense from their perspective, I'd say.
Hopefully, once Prusa (and many other shippers) figure out this fallout from the new steel and aluminum tariffs in the U.S., they can provide standard documentation to their customers together with the delivery note, and/or include this with the HTS number and other customs details in the airway bill. Or maybe someone in the U.S. administration figures out that this brave new world of tariffs doesn't quite work as expected and needs fixing.
RE: Shipping dates
I did, but unfortunately the Prusa chat rep didn’t have an answer. It’ll supposedly go to the shipping department tomorrow for an answer, but tomorrow is the last day I have to respond before the package is returned. That’s why I was hoping that someone here who already did this knew the answer.
As the post above indicates, the way Prusa handles this makes individuals the legal importer I also had to fill out an import license form and provide my social security number. Generally a pretty hostile purchase experience, which I think is part of why Printed Solid is a thing… but they’re not routing Core ONE through them.

RE: Shipping dates
I've purchased meant printers from Prusa in the past, and have never had to do this.
Prusa will need to fix this or US consumers will not buy. The average person is not willing to go thru this hassle. Either they need to be the importer, or provide the proper documentation to the customer.
I'll repeat that it's nonsensical for the consumer to know where and what percentage of raw materials are used in the machine. This is the responsibility of the manufacturer not the customer.
RE: Shipping dates
Trump changed the rules/process and it looks like Prusa is behind the curve when it comes to providing customs descriptions.
Per FedEx:
Stay ahead of the CBP's US$800 de minimis rule
CBP is rolling out an automated capability to enforce the de minimis threshold that allows for the duty and tax-free entry of shipments with an aggregate value of US$800 or less per person, per day. FedEx customers are reminded that if a recipient’s aggregated imported shipments exceed the US$800 de minimis daily threshold, then informal or formal entries may be required — including payment of all applicable duties, taxes, and fees — and may be subject to delays as a result.
While the “per person, per day” de minimis provision is already actively enforced by CBP, we anticipate that automated enforcement of this provision will lead to more consistent and comprehensive treatment by CBP.
How to stay compliant and avoid delays
To help ensure your shipments clear smoothly, we recommend the following best practices:
Monitor recipients’ orders
Factor the US$800 per person, per day limit into your order fulfillment timeline and processes, and do not send more than US$800 of goods to a person on a single day without accounting for necessary duties, taxes, and fees.
Get guidelines for shipments to fulfillment centres
If you’re sending shipments to fulfillment centers, be sure to follow CBP’s guidance during shipment creation. This includes listing the consignee as ‘[Merchandise Owner Name] c/o [Fulfillment Centre Name]’. For example, ‘Company ABC c/o Amazon Fulfillment Centre’.
READ DOMESTIC WAREHOUSE AND FULFILLMENT CENTRE FAQs
Provide precise cargo descriptions
When creating shipments with FedEx, include detailed product descriptions, the exact monetary value and currency, shipper and recipient details, as well as an HS code (where required). Vague descriptions can delay clearance.
RE: Shipping dates
Does that mean Prusa can split a kit to keep each half below $800? Wouldn’t that be nice, but I doubt it.
MK4S/MMU3
RE: Shipping dates
I suppose they could, but as you say, I doubt they would want to do that. It would require two shipments and be a headache.
The right answer here is for Prusa to get their sh*t together and provided the customs info to us so we can quickly and accurately respond to the Customs info requirements. The ultimate answer is to remove Trump from office. (Oh, no, politics!)
RE: Shipping dates
They would still need to make sure the two packages don't arrive at customs on the same day, and more impossibly, that other packages shipped from other vendors also don't arrive such that the customer receives over $800/day.
Prusa does provide the appropriate paperwork on their shipments with an accurate dollar amount and accurate tariff number describing the goods. I suspect the asking about printer composition is CBP trying to sniff out country-of-origin fraud, where a company might import a Chinese printer, stick a label on it and claim it originates from the company's country and not China for better tax treatment.
RE: Shipping dates
As an update here, Prusa has indicated they know about the issue but do not have an answer to provide to US Customs. Maybe others will have more luck with DHL, who I see just resumed shipping to the US. I'll report here if I ever get an answer from Prusa, but I assume FedEx will follow through and return the package to them later today. Pretty disappointed it got as close as 10 minutes away but I won't be able to receive it.
In the meantime, if anyone in the US is about to have their CoreONE shipped via FedEx, I highly recommend asking for it to either be delayed or to switch and try your luck with DHL.
RE: Shipping dates
I wonder if this is some kind of random check they do and you were unlucky enough to have your shipment selected for "additional screening" (sounds like TSA shenanigans, no?). Yours is the first post I've seen where this problem came up, so is everyone else being quiet or is something different about your situation? Your story has me reserved about my kit that is due to ship 5/27. If FedEx did indeed return your unit to Prusa, will Prusa make it right or will you just get refunded? If you are refunded, will Prusa also refund the shipping cost or expect you to eat it?
So many questions without answers at this point 🙁
RE: Shipping dates
This would explain why Prusa had not replied to the group email between the broker, me, and them requesting this information. I answered to the best of my ability when they didn't, but it was a very general answer. I'm not sure if it will be enough to get it released. It was also marked as a commercial shipment. I may be misinterpreting that as being between two business entities, but I'm wondering if that doesn't raise some concerns that wouldn't otherwise be there with a different classification. I guess we will find out. They have 9 days to get it sorted out. Hopefully, Prusa responds to that email at some point to assist in the clearance.
RE: Shipping dates
I also contacted Prusa chat early this morning as my printer is due to be returned to the shipper tomorrow. They said they had not yet heard of this so I suggested they check their forums. As others have stated, the cs on the chat said that they would refer it to the shipping department. Since then, nothing has changed and no response from Prusa to the FedEx broker. Unless something updates overnight, I suspect they will do what they said they would in the tolerant they said they would do it and return the printer to Prusa in the morning. I'm still hopeful, but I would be worried to have something shipped until Prusa can get this sorted out or begin shipping stateside.
RE: Shipping dates
I received an email from Prusa's shipping department stating they'd received a message from FedEx and then provided the materials composition information. So for those waiting, it took 2 days to get in touch with Prusa shipping. They said FedEx told them I hadn't completed my 5106 form (I did this several days ago). Then many hours later I received a call from FedEx where they said they hadn't received the material composition information but did have my 5106, and were about to ship my machine back. I asked them to wait since Prusa said they submitted the information, but I'm worried Prusa provided it for someone else's and not mine. I don't have an explanation for why Prusa and I are getting different information from FedEx about the same package.
I kind of wish I could just get out of it at this point. I'm tired of sitting on hold over and over again. I should have waited until it was stocked at Printed Solid or picked a different printer.
