Multiple objects on plate affect print quality
These two objects were printed on the same plate, in the orientation on the picture. One standing, the other lying.
The standing object got a nice smooth 0.1 mm surface at the bottom. Then when the print of the standing object goes above that of the lying object, the surface all of a sudden becomes much more rough.
Any thoughts on this issue?

This is most likely a cooling issue, yes. Your image isn't currently displaying, so I don't know how big your objects are, or what material you're using, but if there isn't time for one layer to harden sufficiently before the next is laid down, you will get poor surface quality.
A couple of things spring to mind.
1) You can slow the print down if the layer time is less than a specified threshold - look under the filament's cooling configuration for 'Slow down if layer print time is below', and increase this time value.
2) It may be that the enclosed nature of the CORE One is working against you in this case. If you are printing PLA for instance, and the ambient temperature is high, the vent and fans may struggle to keep the interior cool enough. Consider leaving the door open and removing the lid.
RE: Multiple objects on plate affect print quality
According to ChatGPT, the issue might be that the cooling becomes insufficient when only one object is remaining. Maybe I need to lower the print temperature or print speed.

The objects are small. 10x5 mm footprint. The material is Flash Forge PLA.
I changed the temperature to 205°, and it made all problems go away. I also saw that there was an option to increase minimum time between each layer, which might be what you mentioned.
Ambient temperature is not very high, as the printer is in my basement. It's around 19-20°C all year around. But it's good to know.
