MMU3 Enclosed conversion kit …seriously?
I have just received the Enclosed Conversion Kit.
Unfortunately, Prusa has only posted a photo of the front in the shop.
„This kit comes with a top cover, so the printer will remain fully enclosed.“
Is the full enclosurement really still given with this large recess?
Or has a part been forgotten in my package?

Looks like it would have been easy to add a small slider which covers the large opening, has just a small hole for the PTFE tube, and gets dragged along as the MMU selector moves. But I don't think it was forgotten in your package; more likely that Prusa could not be bothered and wanted a solution quickly without further tweaking.
Disappointing, but not surprising. It seems that all the accessories for the Core One were launched as half-assed solutions: MMU, camera, advanced filtering. The camera has been improved somewhat with the recent firmware update. For the MMU and advanced filtering, I would not bank on improvements for already shipped products. I will wait for next-gen implementations.

Something like a letterslot anti-draft brush could work as well:

Is there a source for something like that?

Do a search for " Brush Grommet", You will find plenty of options and places to buy them.

I ordered the fully assembled version of the same thing… and the SKU suddenly disappeared from their website, so I’m not sure what the heck I’m gonna get in mail.
I do have to admit it seems like they are running around, trying to catch up as opposed to building a really complete product and ecosystem for it.
don’t get me wrong, I love my core one. That said the bamboo H2 D I just picked up is a very well designed and very well thought out product start to finish. There’s no doubt the open source nature of Prusa is it’s defining characteristic and much more impressive than some of the nonsense with Bambu… but it’s stuff like this that costs companies customers.
honestly I had planned for something like this happened and have already printed up the community edition of their top of printer solution. I’ve just been waiting an extra month for this thing to show up when it was promised a month ago.

Another reason why I'm leaving my Core One as a single material machine, and purchased a different printer for multi-material/colour use......

I thought about doing the same, but it’s very attractive to have two multicolor printers.
sidenote: seems if you mention a competitors product, your message doesn’t show up when you’re not authenticated to the forum…. Humph
RE: MMU3 Enclosed conversion kit …seriously?
Prusa's MMU3 on Core One solutions all just feel like tacked on afterthoughts to me. It's just not what I would expect from Prusa - in fact we've seen better from community members over on Printables, and if I were to proceed I would use one of them instead. I'm really hoping for an AMS style setup as Prusa's 'next gen' solution......but at the same time I'm not holding my breath!

What was your order date, if you don't mind me asking? I'm curious if any fully assembled mmu3's for the Core One have actually shipped. I know they seem to be behind, but chat couldn't provide any really useful information or time frame when I asked a couple of weeks ago. I suppose given that the mmu3 is pre-existing product and this was just an adaptation for the Core One, that I didn't expect it to fall into the "vaporware" category. I'm trying to temper my new expectations and decide if I don't just cancel and wait for whatever the next-gen changer is.
