Yeah, sames. The parts cost more than a whole new printer kit.
Back to the upgrade, is there any mention of a kit from Prusa to rebuild the leftover remnants of the mk4s into a printer again? I've done a bit of looking, and it seems like the cost of buying the parts individually is greater than the 2nd hand value of the mk4s. Should this be a new post?

While the Core One seems fine, I think that in hindsight, when allowing for the time spent on the upgrade and the large number of left over parts, it would have been a better option just to buy the kit.

shipped finally 11 july. 2 day DPD shipping. 1 of 2 boxes arrived today, the other floating around the Czech republic estimated now to perhaps arrive 17th. The frustration continues. But, knowing DPD sucks, I guess this is not on Prusa. box handle broken off and seems to have been trough an ordeal. lets see how the contents are once i open all after the devlivery of the second box. 6 months, guys, some feedback regarding this absurd length off time would have been appreciated.

Not from Prusa directly, but a third-party is putting together a PrusaWire kit to build a Voron SwitchWire using the leftover parts.

Ordered on Feb. 28 with the cam and various order modifications after the original order, including adding filament and nozzles, then remove nozzles, finally added another nozzle…
today the status changed from new to in progress.
I’ve dissasembled the mk4s and I’ve all the parts cleaned, greased and ready to assemble. I’ve also repacked every non used piece and screw in it’s original bag/box (yeah, maybe I’ve a mental flaw). This took me almost a day. How long it takes to assembly the kit with all the previous steps done?
How long it takes from the status is in progress to the kit is sent?

Received my upgrade kit this week. Ordered February 14th. The weather is supposed to be rainy this weekend so now I have a project.

Fedex has my kit now, it’s expected to be delivered on 23th. Unfortunately I’ll end my holydays on 21th so the assembly will took more than 2 days 🙁

Interesting... Thanks for the link's. I'll have to follow that closely. I'd like to have a backup printer "just in case" if nothing else.

After finally receiving mine last week I unexpectedly got pulled out of town and haven't been able to do anything with it. Ill be off next week anyway and will have time to do the conversion.

I placed two orders for conversion kits on 7/25/25 and they shipped as of this morning! Wow super fast service!! I cannot wait to get started building. I am going to be tearing down one of the donor mk4s today to get prepped! Super happy customer over here.
