I had a problem
I had a whole file lift off thebed and make a huge pile of filiment on my hot end. This was my own fault as I didn't check as te printer layed down the first layer. So I took everything apart and cleaned everything up
RE: I had a problem
I now have a squeaking noise I belive is coming from the liner rail. The directions say use a certain lubricant. I cant find it in Canada Is there something else I can use?
RE: I had a problem
Isn't the squeaking coming from the extruder? With high flow nozzles, with specific filaments (mostly Sunlu PETG), the extruder can squeak when the print speeds are high. With lower speeds or with other filament types, the squeaking goes away. I think the filament itself can't quite keep up with the print rate and when it bends a bit, it rubs against the walls of the filament guide in the extruder as it is pushed down.

I don’t think it’s the nextruder. I never heard it before and I was printing with the same filament. And it onl happens when the nexturder is in a certain place off center to the left when looking into the door

Well, if it is the rails, there should be a misalignment. Even if an added lubrication masks it temporarily, the main issue would not be that. I would take off the print head, loosen, and tighten the screws on the gantry and the linear rail also with the specified screw pattern in the assembly manual. After assembly, if it does not go away, I would take apart the extruder also, clean it up, relube, etc.
I guess any good quality grease would be ok, like a good quality lithium grease, or DX paste from Molykote for high torque, low speed application. You can also write a basic G code, moving the head around and listen if the squeaking is from extruding, the motors, or the rails moving the head around. After disabling the motor in the printer menu, you can even move it by your hand to be able to figure out where the sound is originated.

Thanks. That makes sense
