How many times does your Core One bang in the front right corner before printing?

I only have a single Core One printer. I'm curious to know what's normal for the print startup sequence. When I send a print to the printer, it goes through two short front/right cycles in the corner before moving on the startup process. Something kind of like this: bang front/right, front/right, front/right **end of cycle, slight pause** front/right, front/right, front/right, **done**. This takes maybe 4-5 seconds or so. Note, I'm aware some people are seeing extremely long front/right printhead banging. For those not seeing that on the regular what are you seeing? I'm trying to determine if I need to adjust further or not.

Under perfect conditions, i see the same pattern as you: front/right, front/right, front/right **end of cycle, slight pause** front/right, front/right, front/right, **done**

Never been less than that, but oftentimes more 😩

Strange, the sequence is different on mine. It first bumps right, right, front, front -- then a short pause -- then multiple right/front double-bumps in rapid succession.  (Not front/right as described by @darkmattermaker and @shadeless). Normally I get four double-bumps, but sometimes (rarely) more of them.

I am still on firmware 6.3.1 since I did not see the point of upgrading to 6.3.2 with its single "feature". Not sure whether that makes a difference?

sorry, i stand corrected - i misremembered and its as you describe, Jürgen.

First it goes to the right, then front, then right front alternating. I took a quick video to show it:  C1 Homing

(pls ignore the messy bed, its gluestick from my last asa print :D)

Looks pretty similar to what the XL does. Only the XL does in front left.

When cold, couple of times, really short

When warm, dozens of times, minutes at an end

Never checked belt tension, 100% factory out of the box.

Mine is like in your video. Never quicker, before disabling the hotend heating, sometimes longer though. So I'd say it's perfect 🙂

Try the custom Start G-code, which disables the hotend heating before homing, nozzle cleaning and probing.
It's gone for a few days now (about 20 prints).

Where is this custom G-Code please and where does it need to go??

I'm getting tired of waiting minutes listening to banging even though my linear rail is perfectly aligned with the front gantry......

Here you go 🙂

Prusa Slicer - > Settings - > Printer - > Custom G-Code - > Start G-Code.

Either copy & replace all of it or just put in the "Custom G-Code Start" to end blocks, which enable & disable the heating between certain steps.
