RE: Fixing the Automatic Chamber Vent

It looks as if the vent cannot be moved automatically. Until a few days ago, the printer would systematically interrupt a PLA print, asking to confirm that the vent was open but I do not get that message anymore...

Is it? I just started a PLA print with closed Vent and it stayed closed so I manually had to open it.

The 6.5.3 firmware is supposed to set the vent state based on the chamber temperature setting before every print. I've confirmed it works for me so I have removed the vent open/close logic from my start g-code.

RE: Fixing the Automatic Chamber Vent

Hmm, I think I have to observe this more...

But I need some further clarification on how the system works, I think this fits in here so I will ask here (hope thats fine)

My understanding is that

  • for PLA the vents are open
  • for PETG the vents are open as well
  • for ASA/ABS and higher chamber temps the vents are closed

Does the Software decide by the parameter "nominal chamber temperature" if the vents are open or cloes? If yes from what temperature on the vents are closed?
