CORE One KIT vs. ASSEMBLED HW diffences?

Hi everyone!

Just finnished my build a week ago. Everything works well like charm, but..

I couldn't help but notice that the printer, unlike the marketing photos and several videos, is not equipped with cablechains to extruder, but just cable-sleeving. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm happy about it, but is this a global change, or does it only apply to the kit? What other differences are there between the kit and the assembled printer? Has anyone noticed?

This was a late change in the development of the printer. They dropped the cable chain for the swing arm assembly. All the Core Ones, except the ones used in the early marketing photos, should have the swing arm.

There was a January blog post from Prusa where they announced this change, shortly before the first shipment of assembled printers.

Aha! I completely missed this. I'm personally very happy about this change, because cablechains have caused me a lot of trouble in the past.

Thanks guys!

I love the swing arm.  My favourite type of engineering.  So simple, but it just works.

The arm looks oddly familiar to my local car wash's installation for the hose of the high-pressure washer. Wonder whether that is where the Prusa engineers got the idea. 🙂
