Access to coil only from side?
I am considering the upgrade from mk4s but… my mk4s has restricted space to the sides. I change filament from the front now. I see the filament coil is on the right side of the core one. So is no access from the side the upgrade is not possible. Who has a clue ? Thanks!
RE: Access to coil only from side?
Yes access to the right side isn't ideal for me either, as my Prusa live in the corner of the room where the back and right side are against the walls......
However, my intention is to install my MMU3 to it, and have the spools above the printer......

I'm 100% sure you will be able to move the PTFE tubing leading to the toolhead anywhere you want. 🙂

If you look at the way the cable management assembly is installed I think it may be a little more of a challenge to install the filament on the left. Above, yes of course but on the left may not be simple.
RE: Access to coil only from side?
You’re right I was thinking of top of the printer, not the other side. I don’t know why I thought you didn’t have space at left or right of the printer.
But, if you can redirect the PTFE tube above the printer, you can go with the left panel with a longer PTFE tube. Not a perfect solution, but I bet there will be a solution to put the spool at the left.
Prusa printers has always been quite easy to mod. 🙂

The alternative (supposedly) is the outlet in the upper right rear corner.

My only concern about extending the reverse bowden tube to the left side would be the hard 180° turn in the tube to go from the hinge area of the swing-arm to the left side of the machine. But, I don't have any hands-on experience with the CoreONE, so I'll leave it as a concern and not a show stopper.
