RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE

Thanks for the guide. I watch it several times before I received my kit. It was a great reference during my build.

Thanks again,
Fred

Very good videos. I think the power cable management is the issue; normally they run through the frame...

Power cable

MK3S + MMU2 migrée vers une MK4 +MMU3 , puis vers MK4S MMU3, puis upgrade vers Core One, Elegoo Mars, bricole sur Home assistant, arduino, 8266, Esp32, kicad, Freecad et Fusion 360

Not seen that image before where the cables run through the actual rear panel? Prusa instruct to use the cable cover just above......

RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE

Thank you very much, your videos helped me a lot to upgrade my M4KS (similar to a Core One Kit). It was very well explained, and my Core One worked perfectly as soon as I turned it on. Zero problems, I upgraded to the latest firmware 6.3.5 and the VFA has decreased a lot since 6.3.3.

RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE

That's a brilliant and, no doubt, a massively time-consuming effort! I only watched a little, having already built my Core One, but everything is well staged and very clear. There are a couple things I'd suggest, based on various posts here and other platforms. Several parts should be carefully checked before assembly, especially the brackets holding the X-axis rail. They should be checked with a square, so any later bending is kept to a minimum. Next, and it was missed in the X-Y assembly section, it's critical that the belt tensioner screws get lubricated with the Prusa grease, lest they wear and/or gall and seize. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have lubed the threads of any screws going into the square stainless-steel nuts and the self-locking hex nuts. I know there's one in my printer that I hope never to have to take apart, as it will almost certainly destroy its mating plastic part.

Hi,

From what I have seen so far, these are really excellent videos! Thanks so much for this!

I just ordered a Core One+ kit (my first Prusa printer). Is there any reason to not follow this guide when assembling the "plus" version? Any traps I might step into because of the differences?

RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE

Thank you.

The video guide is supplemental material to the official guide - I never created it in an attempt to replace the official online guide. Bearing that in mind the build process is the same for the Core One+, so the the majority of the videos are valid and can still be used. The only difference will be with the spool holder (which still attaches the same way anyways), the top vent opener (again attaches the same on the side of the extruder, its just a different shaped part), and the side filament sensor (which is very similar to the existing). Hence, the videos will still help and guide you, while the official online guide will be more precise in these areas of course.

I'm starting work on another video to add to the series, which will cover the Core One+ specific parts 😉
