RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
I don't suppose you will do a guide on the upgrade kit too? (mk4s to core)
Thanks

Honestly, this was the original plan, although changed when Prusa swapped the shipping schedule between conversion and kit options over, hence I went for whichever would come first ie, the kit.
I do have a MK4s alongside my Core One, and I would be more then happy to create a conversion build guide too......as long as someone is happy to send me a conversion kit! lol
Either way, the build should be pretty much identical - or very, very similar. Only difference is the MK4s disassembly that comes before it, and I'm not looking to disassemble my MK4s without any conversion kit I'm afraid!
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
thanks, just looked through the assembly manual and agree, that should be simple!
(famous last words..)
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
@ iftibashir Thanks for the great guide!
What I noticed... is that only some parts have a German audio track.
Are you going to change that? (Just for your German fans : 😉
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Thats not really anything I change I'm afraid. Thats auto-captioning from YouTube, so down to YouTube's algorithms. Hopefully it'll catch up soon!
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
There is a difference in the wiring between the PSU and Buddy board because the wires are longer from the MK4S, but other than that the disassembly of the MK4S and parts prep are about it.

RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
In the video on assembling the heat bed, you used a normal silver coloured hex head bolt to secure the cable cover. This was later updated in the instructions to use a black button head screw, as it led to problems with the extruder .
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Carried on watching the video and saw that you picked this up later!
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Continue watching the video - the change, as well as an explanation towards the reasoning etc, is mentioned towards the end of the same video......
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
I've watched thru the videos and I want to commend you. The videos were very thorough in my opinion and well done. I appreciate the time and effort you took to make them. I'm sure it made building the printer much more laborious trying to make sure you had good video of each step and coming up with a voice track to go with it.
Thanks for creating and sharing!
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Thank you!
Yes, it turned a 1-2 day build into a 2.5 week build. Trying to get a clear angle of every movement, every screw, every part, and then stopping, moving the camera for the next shot, and so on - over and over. This one was particularly more difficult due to the weight of the printer as you progress through the build - having to stop, move it slightly to get a better camera angle, etc. My lower back isn't as strong as it used to be in my younger days and I suffered a little afterwards!
Then its the voiceovers, which took the best part of a full day and left me with a sore throat! Anyways, all done and hopefully it will be helpful for others to see that its not only a relatively straightforward build that anyone can do, but an enjoyable one too. My intention is never to replace the official online version of the guide, just to offer a different perspective that buyers may find useful as supplementary material.

And that Sir, is very much appreciated, thank you for your excellent work!
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Thank you @iftibashir for all the effort you have gone to in creating this video guide.
Have just completed my build after a few days of stops and starts.
Probably half a day of hunting around for dropped screws each time I picked a pack up upside down, I'm glad I have a decent magnet 😉
Your information is consise and thoughtfully explained in laymans terms throughout.
I did refer to the Prusa documentation once or twice to get a different angle of a few parts but I had no real need to.
My arthritic fingers and my old back are telling me that it's time to have a rest now ☺️.
Thank you once again 🙏.

I was so engrossed that I haven't even eaten my gummy bears yet 😁
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Got into some Prusa posts! ;o)
RE: Prusa Core One - VIDEO BUILD GUIDE
Thank you so much for this. I didn't do a great job of my original Mk3 build in 2018, and something like this would have been fantastic.
