Failing overhang perimeters
Hey All! I'm having issues with printing multibin shells. On 2 specific layers on the model PrusaSlicer does overhang perimeters. On these places the extrusion starts mid-air and fails (marked it with red arrows on the pictures). I've tried turning off Detect bridging perimeters and setting Infill/perimeters overlap to a higher value, but it did not fully solve the issue, however it got a bit better. On layer 3.2 it prints fine 1-2 times, but there are 8 of these "slots". To me it seems Infill/perimeters overlap does not have an effect in this case. On layer 24.8 it always fails, simply extrudes mid-air. I have no idea what else I could try. Please help. I uploaded the project file here.
That part is not well designed for 3D printing 'though it looks like the designer made an effort with the central socket. Where did you get the file? Do you have access to the original design CAD?
You do not have supports enabled so the various overhangs are printing in mid air but even with support the overhangs will be a little rough and digging out the support material will be a chore. If the tops of the walls could be flattened to provide enough area to grip the build sheet it might be better to print the part upside down, still with support, but those narrow slots are always going to be a problem.
Cheerio,
