Continuous layer shift in Vase Modell Core one?

I had a continuous layershift in a vase model that should habe straight walls at the beginning at least.

i am puzzled. Did calibrate x and y again after aligning and belt tension.

any ideas ? Could this be a gcode problem.

Best regards

Ralf

It seems that the failed print is reproducible. Might be that all the strange geometry errors indicate a slicer or firmware problem.

Anyone having the Core one tried this model:

I'm seeing the same thing - shifting backwards in "Y" once the first layers are laid down.
This is quite odd, as the straight back shift means it's not just one of the motors.  To see if this was Vase mode, I printed part of a vase and it was fine.
I expect that your guess that this is a gcode problem is correct. Perhaps a math error building up over all of the repositioning being done by this model?

I'd suggest reporting this on Reddit (or to support.)

I did send a mail to info@prusa.
hope to get an answer.
perhaps there are more people confirming the issue ?

Better to use chat.  Have your printer's serial number ready and show them these pictures.  They may ask for a .3mf file; to generate one:  Files > Save Project as

I´ve made the same experience today and sent also an eMail to Prusa Team with link to this thread, my picture, my 3MF file and the BGCODE file. Hope they found this problem.

I let finish the print, it is very strange that in the last few cm of the print it looks good (as intended by the model). I hope the Prusa guys will dig into the firmware carefully. This looks like a problem with signed vs. unsigned arrays, variables or something of its kind.

Did you try to disable the binary gcode setting in the Prusa Slicer - > Printer settings?

I don't know the exact setting right now, but there's a checkbox for binary gcode.

With normal gcode, you can open the gcode file with the Prusa gcode viewer to confirm the code is okay and still start the print over WiFi.

It'll just take a bit longer to transfer the file and start the print.

Anyone Else trying to verifiziert this or found a Solution for the Vase Mode ?

I reported this to Prusa and they are looking into it.

I sent an email to Prusa support like you and got a response last Thursday (7.th August). They will check this issue and respond. From earlier expierences this may take some weeks.
