No lan access

Hi guys,

I used to operate rpi zero 2W with prusaLink without any issues since I installed it. However a one day the printer started to display No Lan Access on the display and I'm not able to manage it back to work.

I tried to reinstall prusaLink 0.81 (latestl), with correct SSID/Pwd credentials few times, but without any success. To check if the wifi on rpi zero is ok I installed Rpi OS and the machine was online. I also moved rpi zero from the printer to avoid low wifi signal issues.

Now I don't know how to solve this. The only difference I have spotted is, that my router changed IP for the rpi zero - but reinstalling prusaLink from the scratch should solve it.

Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks!

I'm having the same issue, but with a Zero W 1 RPi. Did you find a solution? Mine is a fresh install so I have never succeeded in having it connected to the internet.

RE: No lan access

I had the same problem, today (23/12/2024) I saw this message. And while searching for an answer in the web, the info changed to "Prusa Link OK" showing as IP 192.168.165. But I had given as IP an other (.19) by reserving this address to the router setup, assigned to the printer MAC Address.

I loged in to the router, where I found that the printer had a new MAC Address, so the router assigned to it one of the "free" IPs. I had also assigned a url to the printer, but the Chrome could not be connected (message: This site can’t be reached). So I logged in using the new IP.

So it seems that the Zero "lost" the setup, and somehow it used a new MAC Address

Still no solution found. I set IP address, which was assigned at the begining and prusaLink used to be working with, as static in my router. Again did a fresh installation, but still the same result.

Having the same problem here. RPi Zero 2W, fresh install of Prusalink 0.8.1. I've re-imaged the SD card probably a dozen times with the correct wifi credentials, each time it results in a "No Lan Access" message.

RE: No lan access

I have the same issue on my Mk3S+. Bought a RPi Zero 2W, and installed Prusalink 0.8.1. Wifi-credencials are correct. Fifth time trying now, but no luck.

Has anyone found a solution?

RE: No lan access

I downloaded the previous Prusalink version (0.7.2). This works nicely. Would like to upgrade to 0.8.1, but it seems there's a software bug in that version.

0.8.1 has been out for nearly a year, so maybe a fix should be made?

For me, the solutions was to stop wasting my time and effort wrestling with a product the manufacturer clearly doesn't want to support, and buy a P1S. Should have done it ages ago. Tripled my print speed and I can print from the network with no hassles. My mk3 is now gathering dust.

Didn't try older version. But the funny thing is, that for me it accidentally stopped working in during the regular use and I am not able to get it back to work with the same setup. Anyway, it is nothing important that would limit my use of this still great printer.

RE: No lan access

I found a method to assign static IP to W2 Zero:
https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/731514/
It is working without any plroblem, never missed the connection.
It can be accessed by the IP or the url name you have assigned to the RPi Zero 2W
Version is 0.8.1
