Multiple issues - ready to move back to OctoPrint....

I'm having a lot of issues with PrusaConnect. I've used OctoPrint for years with my previous machines (Enders and MK3.5S) without issues, but thought I'd save the RPi costs and try it. I mean it must be good if Prusa uses it in their farm. I'm having the following issues:

  • PrusaSlicer I sent to Connect and specify bed is ready. It doesn't start print.... there's always some button to push
  • Error on printer that the Gcode is too long when using PrusaSlicer
  • Very long upload times.... I'm talking an hour or more on larger files (ethernet connected from my desktop and the printer is ethernet as well.
  • Select ConnectFiles, then select one to print and it reports, file not found.... I get a lot of 'file not found' errors.
  • And more, but these are the big ones that have happened multiple times

I've re-flashed the printer and MMU3 already and re-installed the printer into PrusaConnect at least 3 times. I'm using the Prusa supplied USB drive. I have a newer MK4S that I built (it's my 4th build), that I ran for 20+ hours prior to turning on PrusaConnect. Had issues with that and contacted support.

I currently only have the one printer... should I move to PrusaLink? Any recommendations?

Move to PrusaLink so that you don't have to upload and download gcode files over the internet because apparently your internet connection is too slow to be useable.

MK4 has PrusaLink in he firmware so no additional Raspberry pi is needed.

If that is still slow you can reconsider OctoPrint.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Thanks..... I don't think its my internet, I'm on fiber and check my speed during my testing process with connect.

I will try Link again before spending the $ on a rpi and camera....

thanks again
