Has anyone found a workaround for the PSU Cable Quick-release on the MK4?

There is some discussion of a workaround (it's the powerfail cable that is different, I think) in a thread that is mostly about LCD cables/connectors.  Specifically, this post:

I also recall a post (can't find it right now) where an owner stated that one of the support reps said "late summer" for availability of a MK4 version of the PSU quick connect kit.  (I am not holding my breath for that, but hope it happens.)

I can confirm that "late summer", as I also asked about this recently and got the same answer from support. They told me to check at the end of summer and that they're waiting for certifications or something like that.
