Benchy roof going wrong

Hi,

Since last weekend I am not able to print a Benchy anymore. I did one as my first print earlier this year and the result was more than acceptable.

However, today when arriving at the second layer of the roof, the nozzle seems to push away the build.

It is the standard one; delivered on the USB-key: Benchy_Rules_0.4n_0.2mm_PLA_COREONE_14m.bgcode

It seems there is a bit of warping on the rear right corner. The rest of the print is quite good.

Equipment: Core One+ with the latest firmware 6.5.3
Filament: Lipstick Red Prusament.

What can I do to be able to print a full benchy?

Thank you.

When you mentioned warping I was expecting it to be worse - but you do have some lift-off, mostly at the stern, which might be enough to lift the model into the nozzle path and to break the adhesion so a really thorough clean of the print sheet is in order; look up threads here about sheet cleaning.  It may be caused by a slight build-up of insoluble residue.

Here the underside of the benchy.

I printed as well the cube 40x40x40 which to me looks quite good.

I had something similar recently and it was an issue with not enough cooling, try to increase the fan speed, open the doors.

Maybe your ambient temperature is too high?

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Thank you, Diem for pointing out cleaning the print sheet with warm water, kitchen sponge and dish soap!

It did the trick! 🙂

Between prints I always wipe the print sheet with IPA, although it seems it is not always enough.

Thanks again.

The only thing IPA does really is smear oils around the sheet. You actually need a detergent to remove the oils. I switched awhile ago to BIQU Cyrogrip Glacier sheets. You basically never have to clean them
