Hole Horizontal Expansion?

Hello,

I am a new owner of a Prusa MK3S+ and thus, am trying PrusaSlicer. I have been using Cura for a while now and it has a feature called Hole Horizontal Expansion.

I have been trying to find if PrusaSlicer has this feature. So far, the closest answer I got was that it's called "XY Size Compensation", but, after digging further, it does not target holes only (or rather, internal polygons only).

I then get this answer from a Reddit post:

Might not exist. PrusaSlicer doesn't have as many settings as Cura.

Is this true? Are there any plans to support this feature in PrusaSlicer?

Best Answer by Neophyl:

No this feature does not exist in Prusa Slicer currently.  It does however exist in the Super Slicer fork of PS. https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer

In reference to Joan's github suggestion (which is a good one) the Prusa Slicer github is located  here - https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues
This particular feature request has already been made multiple times.  The current open one is https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/4561 I suggest you go add your voice to the others and possibly bump it up a bit over there.

this is a user to user support forum,
you might get a better response  for future developments in the Prusa Slicer Git Hub pages

Ok I just did that. Thanks! I am currently using Cura now. Hopefully I can switch to PrusaSlicer in the future.

@allen

After several years of watching between here and GitHub, I have to suggest, that not only do you have the ability in slicer currently to do what your asking for via the use of "Negative Volumes", but that GitHub at least where "Prusa is concerned" is not a place that will resolve your issues. I'm going to suggest that you take the time to learn the tools that currently exist in PrusaSlicer. I don't what to dissuade you from posting your request on GitHub but move forward not expecting to see the change your asking for Prusa has shown they have their own agenda, and it's not yours.
