Strange seam issues/artifacts on only 1 tool on 2-tool Prusa XL
I'm having an issue with my Prusa XL 2 tool that I can't figure out.
The issue is that the toolheads are printing with different quality and especially different behavior at seams, and it's very strange. In this last print, I was able to determine that the issue is really with Tool 1 as it was the first time I used the Spool Join functionality as I didn't have enough filament on the spool for Tool 2 (which started the print) so I had it join with Tool 1. You can clearly see where it switched (including the unsightly line at the switch).
Issues:
- Sheen difference
- Tool 2 is clearly printing more slowly (or maybe hotter) as the printed part is shinier than where Tool 1 took over (using the same material).
- Seam difference
- The larger issue is that there is a strange issue at the seams but only for Tool 1. Tool 2's seams look perfect, while Tool 1's seams have this weird artifact. I can't tell if that's an issue with scarf seams being uncalibrated or if it's something else -- but either way it doesn't make sense that Tool 1 would be the only one doing it.
See the images -I added arrows and text to clarify. Look at the seams and let me know if I need to clarify further.
