Sequential printing and different colours per part

Has anyone been trying sequential printing where tool 1 prints part a, tool 2 prints part b, tool 3 prints part c, etc?  I know you have to turn off the wipe tower and effectively lie to prusaslicer about the height, and then specifically position parts in proper printing sequence manually.  I'm just wondering if there's anything else I'm not considering before I attempt it.

There is one minor thing you have to consider when doing this with the XL (compared to MK3/MK4) ... Tool changes ...

That means that X- and Y-Axis need to move to change the tools and might "interact" with the prints you already made. With a very careful placement it should work nevertheless ... For example using extruder 1 & 2 ... starting the first print in the front right corner of the bead and the second one back left sould work reasonable well ...

Nevertheless I've seen the printer performing a homing sequence after changing a tool ... this might ruin your day .. I didn't do that much thoug since I have the printer only a couple of days ... but observed it only once so far ...
