Print additions mid-print
I am doing some prints and would like to add weights. They could be fender washers or other metal shapes, but the question is how do you accommodate the height? If the washer is 1mm thick, a 5 layer hole in a 0.2/layer print will allow it to drop in with a pause, but what if is not entirely flat? If it is too tall, the head will hit it, if too short, the filament may not adhere and will leave extrusions around the print.
I suppose I could drop ball bearings into the infill grid.
What has been tried and worked?
