Issues using PETG as support on PLA prints (bed-temp, organic supports)

Hi all

I'm often using PETG as support material on PLA prints. The outcome is generally great but there are some issues I can't find an answer to.

Issue A
When using PETG as support on PLA prints Prusa Slicer (2.7.1) throws in a "M140 S85" at the second layer and keeps that bed-temp until the end of the print.
I totally get it that PETG bed-temp should be 85°C but it should keep the bed at 60°C because its only for the supports. I'm using the satin sheet on the PLA prints and PETG sticks well on it using only 60°C on the bed. I haven't found a toggle or setting to keep the bed-temp at 60°C during the whole print other than modifying the PETG profile to 60°C bed-temp.
Any other suggestions?

Issue B
I wanted to lower the printing speed of the organic supports when printing them with the PETG due to issues of them beeing not printed well (gaps, not stable). So I lowered the "Max volumetric speed" for PETG from 9 to 6mm3/s to give it some more time. It doesn't seem to have an affect on how quick the supports are printed.
Where do I need to modify the speed to have cleaner organic supports? Or do I have to lower it even more?

Thanks in advance for your help. 😊

I've have been printing PLA with organic PETG supports and have had no issues so far.  I just followed the guidelines outlined here:
