Clean all nozzles in turn

Hi,

Does anyone know an easy way to heat and present each nozzle in turn to be cleaned with a wire brush? Either a menu item for maintinanace or a g-code with click-to-continue?

I'm fed up with moving each tool to the front, heating up and then parking/slecteing the next tool each time I swap a nozzle and neet to recalibrate.

I don't believe there is such a command directly on the printer right now. I'd think doing it with custom g-code would take an excessive time, thanks the start-up routine on the XL.

I typically just go into the control menu and turn all 5 nozzles up to the appropriate temperatures, and then manually pull each nextruder off its dock, brush it over a bin, and put it back. That way I also don't get bits falling on my plate or into the printer.

That's pretty slick! I should have thought it through more, a custom-tooled gcode should be able to avoid the heat soaking and other steps that take so long during startup.

I'll have to give this a try, though I think I'm still an advocate of manually undocking each nextruder while cleaning, so I can better inspect the nozzle and see what I'm cleaning, keep bits from dropping into the control panel, and avoid pressure on the carriage. Some of this may or may not be influenced by having the printer very near the floor... 🙂

Same. I used to have the gantry at about eye level and that Nikhil's gcode was perfect for cleaning. But recently moved the XL to a wire shelf and now the gantry is at about elbow level so I changed up my cleaning routine to basically yours. Much easier to manually pull a tool when you're reaching down instead of up.
