Why does the printer wait so long to let the hotend cool down before warming up again???

Hello,

With PrusaSlicer the hotend warms up first then spends a lot of time to cool down to 70°C before warming up again. Why? Is it useful?

As to why, I couldn't present to guess the programmer's intention.  But the solution is this:  the 70 degree temperature is the idle temperature.  Simply go to Filaments>Temperature and change the idle temperature to a more reasonable number such as 150 or 160.  Then the wait is not as long.  You can adjust the temperature to account for oozing from the nozzle.
