Toolchanger slop

I’ve had my fair share of issues with my 2-toolhead XL, but one use I’ve landed on is using PLA supports for PETG parts. However, during the tool head changing process, the extruders do not seem to find their way back to the precise same spot. In the pictures below, you can see all the artifacts in the layers with supports, and how they disappear where the supports end and the toolchanges stop. This is consistent across many different prints. I’ve redone all the calibrations, the belt tensioning, the calibration with the little bolt in the middle of the bed, tightened everything in the tool head parking brackets. Is there something I’m missing, something loose, or is this the notorious nature of multi-toolhead printing? Appreciate any advice!
