Prusaslicer does not generate a prime tower for multi materials
I need community help here. Prusaslicer can’t build a proper priming tower which separates a nonbonding material. As such if you want to do 4 colors in PETG with pla in one of the extruders to be used for full contact support (which finally gives us CLEAN undersides) the priming tower won’t do it. It combines materials since the dev assumed the materials fuse.
Squeaky wheel folks! A number of people screamed when it was apparent that coupling spools was not in the initial fw release. I’ve already posted on the GitHub about it, but if nobody else says anything it will not be fixed.
RE: Prusaslicer does not generate a prime tower for multi materials
In Print Settings > Multiple Extruders > Extruders set "Wipe Tower Extruder" to the tool number for your support filament. The slicer will use that filament as a shell for the prime tower instead of the usual random/backandforth layering.
Wipe tower: 0 (default)
Wipe tower: 5 (petg, 1-4 is pla)

Might not work if there is a three way non-sticktion going on since they mix together as the tower grows, but it should be fine for a 1-supportfilament type job.
