Prusa XL with Original Enclosure overheats the MCU with long prints.

I have printed small (2 Hours) ABS prints with no problem, toher than the enclosure with no changes only gets to 40 degrees.
Last night I put on a 12 Hour print which stopped at 91 percent (800 g of Filament) with an overheated MCU.
It seems that the enclosure heated up the metal around the back too much, and I couldn't get it to start again, even with an open windows.
I have used Prusa Printers for a long time, and as a very small business owner (beside my normal job) a prints where 6 parts fail kinda hits hard. And I needed to deliver those parts today 🙁 that will not happen.
Have anybody had this problem?
Any solutions?
Everthing is stock, but I will need to get the chamber temp up to around 50 degrees if I need to print bigger ABS parts. So I will need to clog all the small holes and big cracks this expensive enclosure have.
Now I am afraid to start another big print on the XL and will have to do it all on my Voron. I need to print another 12 Parts.

I don't have an XL, but I had the same problem with my MK4 when I put in inside the Original Prusa Enclosure. Red screens because of overheating of the xBuddy board when I printed ASA/ABS and similar high temp filaments. I put a fan on the cover of the electronics case, removed the counter-productive thermal pads on the back of the xBuddy board and instead put some heat-sinks (for Raspberry Pi) on the chips on the other side of the thermal pads. See here: https://www.printables.com/model/580484-cover-for-adding-an-80-mm-noctua-fan-to-the-mk4-el
Since I applied that mod I never had this problem again. The fan lowers the temp of the xBuddy board (shown in the sensor info) during a print by about 20 °C.
Perhaps this works on the XL as well or can be adapted if the electronics case has different dimensions.

Wow I feel sorry for you.

Frustration we all go through. What model of printer do you have?

Just doing numbers from your post.

91% of a 12 hour print and you have used 800 grams of filament. 80% of a normal full spool. Wow.

this must be some intensive print job, What % infill and other temperature settings are you using.

The enclosure is particularly important when printing with ABS unless I am wrong is to prevent drafts, the bed temperature is more important.

Please send a photo of what you are trying to achieve, or even better the failure, we can all learn.

What small holes and cracks in the enclosure do you have ?, and again a photo from you is better than a thousand words.

Thanks

The Prusa XL Enclosure doesn't encompass the whole printer, it closes the front and top. The rear is Metal and I suspect that the metal which encloses the MCU heats up over time.

Since i expect that Prusa has tested this, I was hoping that they would already have a solution 😐

There is not much to see except my own design standing on the plate almost finished. Nothing to see, the pic of the Display I have posted here.

The whole rear and bottom of the rear is open, even with enclosure. The enclosure has a lot of unused holes and there are room between the door on all sides. Some almost big enough for a small finger 🙁

Thanks

Consider slicing and printing the last 9% and bonding together.

If it was parts for me, I would do that. But I sell them to a seller who sells them on. It would not be the proper quality. 🙁
