Prusa XL 5 head non operational since mid December
My XL has been offline since mid December. Prusa support are just non existing on the matter now. Live chat told me to email, email responses are pretty much “do you want to send it back”. My responses are more “I’d rather have help to fix but if you can’t do that then yeah I’ll send it back” and this has gone of for weeks now.
I guess I’m about to switch brands as this is just getting crazy.
Not that it matter to much here but I have 2 filament sensors faulty, and one head that keeps crashing despite many many checks and calibration and when I moved the head to another sport, the problem stay on location 4. I think the chassis is bent right there. I can see what happens. Half solidified plastic catching the dock as it returns at which point the Prusa head slams itself around 4 or 5 repeat times in an apparent fit of rage into the dock areas making the dislodge from the magnet and then it cries it crashed at which point I have to try to recalibrate the head which is now getting more braised and battered. I have no idea what’s up with the sensors. Sometimes they work some times they don’t and they have been stripped down and cleaned.
Friday afternoon printer perhaps.
It was semi assembled. But worked fine for 2 weeks before troubles started.
