No more Prusa Connect after Hard reset

I experienced problems with the side-filament-sensor on my 2head XL.

Contact with helpdesk and some tests, one was to do a hard reset.
This did not help. switching the sensor to the right-position revealed that one of the three sensors functioned ok, but the two others (one and two) had an issue.

I was send a new sensor-pod. (a bit unfortunatly, a right-pod, but that's not really an issue).
Xl prints just fine again .. but as I had done a hard reset, I experienced a loss of connection with Prusa Connect.

I did the configuration of the wifi-settings all right AND it is clear that my XL has a connection as it recives an IP-address as it should. Wifi-signal-icon also present offcourse ...
but in my browser, when going to Prusa Connect I only have an OFFLINE-message.

What could be wrong .. or what did I do wrong ... AND how do i regain connection with my printer?

ADDENDUM:

I can ping the ip-adres from my PC, ... but when i try to connect that same ip-address in my browser (as I tried connecting through Prusa LINK) I get a "no connection"- message in the browser(s)

Also tested with firewall on pc off: no change

RE:

Check to see that the IP address didn't change on the printer itself.  Unless you have a static IP setup for your printer on your wifi it can change after a hard reset of your machine or router.

I've run into this and when I check the printer the last couple digits have changed of the address.

I checked on the printer. Same ip-address still.

Also, that would not explain Prusa COnnect not being able to make contact with the printer, afaik

RE: No more Prusa Connect after Hard reset

I had something similar happen the other day (if I fully understand your issue). PConnect worked fine because after a hard reset I got a new registration code issued just fine from the XL LCD GUI. The file would upload to PConnect but then it couldn't find my printer. Support gave the old "clear the cache and cookies" answer among others and tried to help, but I just waited as well as clicked the Read/Not Ready button a few times, and noticed PConnect worked later in the day with no other actions on my part.   Maybe getting a new reg code will help you? Did you already get this solved?

It seemed I had to re-add it.

after this it worked again ... but strange procedure.

UPDATE:

Today yet again, I lost connection.

The printer nicely showed the WIFI-icon on the display but Prusa Connect could not establish a connection.
Tried Prusa Link: same

Then tried enabling and disabling Connect and Link: nope

tried "add printer to connect"-protocol multiple times:
Error, reason: refused

Very strange: when pinging the IP-address from the Xl in the command line, I get a good response .. so there IS a connection.

AFter some fiddling, I got a connection again, after re-loading the wifi-settings of my local wifi-network.
(I did NOT delete the wifi..ini-file from the USB-key last time so that came in handy).

This is not OK. I should not have to re-tune the wifi-settings on the XL.
AND very strange that pinging went OK, but the XL seemed not abble to communicate with home-base: the prusa-servers.

RE: No more Prusa Connect after Hard reset

I can say that I have not had these issues.  I've had my MK4 connected to my wifi continuously for over 6 months.  The only time I had to do anything was when resetting my router because it gave the printer a new IP address.

Based on this I have to assume there is something going on between your router and your printer.

RE:

i beg to differ.

As I am able to ping the printer and see that it gets a new ip-address after a restart, it is clear to me the printer has contact with the router.

for me it is something in the prusa-protocols that prevents the printer to connect to the real world

I intend to test an Ethernet-connection, so cabled, to my router.

BUT !! thank you for brainstorming with me on this. more brains = more brain-capacity 🙂
