Control buttons not working?

I just got my new XL. Handbook says the LED on the extruder heads are control buttons that let you move the extruder to purge filament, but it only works when it's preheated. I preheated it and tried testing it but the buttons don't actually do anything. I mean they don't even depress. They're just solid without any feedback. And pressing on one of them (the bottom one) just ended up making it break off. There is apparently a button behind it, which I can press with a screwdriver and do feel some clicking feedback, but the buttons themselves are just stiff.

Is there a way to order just the part and replace the clear button plastic? It's a new printer, and even if the buttons don't work, I'd at least like to not have a hole there now.

Oop, yep, there's the part in the Prusa shop

https://www.prusa3d.com/en/product/light-guide/

Now to find a guide on how to take the nextruder apart to be able to replace it.

I think this part should be a bit more softer and flexible so it doesn't snap off. Or the buttons a bit more clicky or something.
