Build Plate Will Not Rise Up To Home
My Prusa XL 5T will not home the bed properly in Z. I can watch the bed attempt to move up, but then it stops with an inch or two still to go before it is up to Home. I have inspected the bed carefully, and can find no debris that might cause the bed to stop rising (I cannot see that it is hitting anything). The bed never gets anywhere near the extruder, and the problem occurs with more than one extruder/tool.
Thoughts?

Try recalibrating the Z axis in the calibration menu. Maybe it's gotten out of kilter. I would grease the ball nuts per the maintenance guide first.

This video demonstrates the problem well:
OK, you don't clean your build-sheet, you use damp filament .... how well do you keep up with regular lubrication and maintenance?

Cheerio,
I would have to classify this comment as both rude and unhelpful. I have been printing multi-day prints on the XL for weeks, and suddenly it will not work at all. I did lubricate the Z axis screws when the problem first started, but that had no effect.
Does anyone have a thoughtful, informed, and helpful comment?

@Brian12: I was dubious about this, but you were absolutely correct. During calibration, the bed raised up without any problems and when I started a print, it went just fine. Strange that the machine stopped raising the bed before it actually hit the nozzle, when I thought the nozzle hit was the whole point of homing.
Thanks so much!
