Boot loop after reset button - "Modular bed error" - stuck in boot loop

I started a print, then pressed stop, but became impatient (my fault) and pressed reset.

Upon subsequent boot sequence, an error screen was encountered naming "Modular bed error, tile 1) and the device will not boot to menu.

Example:

There is nothing wrong with the bed, it is a brand new device and had just completed a successful print. I wanted to re-print one object from the previous print, and originally intended to use the internal function that allows the user to exclude models in a gcode through the XL LCD interface, but decided I would create a new gcode, and so aborted.

Is there a button combination to boot from USB? and reset or completely reinstall firmware?

Is there another solution I am not considering?

Apart from the firmware update issue that must be solved first:

Have you checked, whether the cable plugs for the tile are seated properly into the sockets (tile and pcb)? During the assembly of my XL I actually disassembled all tiles from the heatbed. Upon the first start I also got a tile error. I pushed the one plug I had not properly seated and the error went away.

I'd also check the power cable and the data-cable from the "modular bed" pcb to the "buddy" pcb. You can also try to temporarily swap the cables of tile 1 and 2 and see whether the tile no. changes.

I tried to reflash the firmware and this is now what I am encountering. I am stuck in deep. Anyone out there able to help?

RE:

I would check all fuses and if that doesn't help contact support. If the very first tile is not found it could mean it cannot find any of them, hence check fuses.
Edit: According to the image in the Prusa shop there should be 2x 10A fuses on the board under the bed. Start there.

This is what Prusa support essentially had me do, once we were able to install the alpha firmware release. I had to go so far as swapping tiles then re-patching cables for the correct location. Pretty tiresome stuff for a printer this expensive. Thanks for the reply! You were spot on with your advice

RE:

On machines that are more than 2 orders of magnitude more expensive we nail down errors sometimes in the same way. Yes, it's tiresome but OTOH pretty effective.

Please do not forget to treat the plugs with care. Their are small so their robustness is limited.

Thank you for the feedback and happy printing!
