Working with Multiple Parts

I have this logo which is made up from over 100 parts. Eventually this will become a Christmas ornament for the parents on my kid’s hockey team. 😊

When I bring it in to PrusaSlicer It iterates through each part and assigns it a tool. I’ve gone through and assign each part to use the correct tool/color, however it requires A LOT of time to do because I can only work with one part at a time. This is extremely labor intensive. (If there is a way to work with multiple parts at the same time please let me know.)

To make matters worse, I found an error when I was about 80% complete, requiring me to start over from scratch, after I fixed my model in Fusion.

Before I go through this process again, I’m thinking the best way to do this is to assign the entire model to the default head, and then paint the parts. I’m assuming this would also make it a faster print, because most of the infill would be using one tool.

Is there a way to bring in the model and assign all parts to the default tool?

Unless I misunderstand your workflow, once you have all the parts loaded in PrusaSlicer, you can click on the first part in the list on the right, hit Ctrl-A to select all parts, and press 1 through 5 on your keyboard to change them all to that tool head. Then you can click one and shift-click as many others as you need and repeat to assign a batch to a different tool head.

🤯 I don't know what I was doing wrong, but I went back in and now I can do it. Thank you. 😖
