Squeaking Filament Sensor

Has anyone had the filament squeak on the PTFE tube going into the Filament sensor? Mine seems to do so incessantly, and I must find a solution before it drives me nuts.

It didn't seem to happen when I printed with PLA, but it sure does with PETG.

RE: Squeaking Filament Sensor

Mine doesn't squeak at the sensor but the filiment squeaks on the spool. The spool holder squeaks sometimes when the spool is at a little bit of a angle on the holder.

I just designed a mount to hold two filiment dryers so hopefully once they are mounted and in use the squeaking will stop!

Eventually, I'd like to get two filament dryers as well. So, I'll put up with the squeaking until I can make that happen.

Well, that escalated rapidly. I started thinking about dual spool dryers and found a basic one from Sovol, and it happens to be on sale with free shipping, so I'm going to design around this.

The filament sensor with PETG going through it is driving me mad with its squeaking/creaking. Has anyone managed to stop this before I go mad?

Just put in a new spool of orange polymaker PETG and the sensor has been squeaking a lot.

No problems up until now PLA, TPU, PVA, or PETG from Overture.

Also have a new spool of black PETG from polymaker, but haven't tried it yet.

Also haven't tried unloading the filament to try to look at the sensor.

Replace stock filament sensors with this from
https://www.printables.com/model/860920-prusa-xl-magnetic-filament-sensor-remix-for-print
no-spring magnet based filament sensor

I did and it's a major improvement.  Even TPU feeds easily, and there's no need to carefully shape the tips.
