Second confirmation of deposit payment
Hello,
I just got a second confirmation of my deposit payment for the XL semi 5 I ordered in November 2021. The first confirmation I got in November 2021.
Is there something going on? Will I be able to turn the pre-order into a regular order within the next days?

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Hi,
So did I. Strange thing is, that the total charge is doubled too. I'd love to have 2 XL's, but I ordered only one?
Guess I'd better contact support, see what's going on..

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Same here and only 1 XL ordered but a position "Surplus" of 7.199€
RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Yup, that's what my order shows too.
Support queues are currently jumping up and around to 63 minutes, so I think we are certainly not the only ones having this problem...
RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Same here. Got it through and checked the order online and price has doubled. Ordered 5 head.
RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Same here, by my meaning it is some sort of Prusa Web system failure. Of course chat is practically unavailable...
RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Just got off chat w/support. Glitch in system. They are currently "restoring orders back to original state". Will send another email when done.

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Thak you. But now only one question more - does it take effect on when will we get our multihead XL printers?

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
First step is to 'reset' orders, meaning back to pre-order state. Then they will, hopefully, do the 'switching' correctly . No affect on place in queue. But, no time-frame either. I asked if I just have to "wait"? They said "Yes, please. Sorry for the inconvenience".

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Just received this:
"
Hello!
Today, we were carrying out important production efficiency improvements in our internal systems related to pre-orders of the 5-tool semi-assembled XL printers. Unfortunately, an error occurred during this process, and you received an email with an incorrectly issued document attached. We want to assure you that you can ignore that email.
Your pre-order is still in the same status, and we will send you a notification when your printer is ready later. Right now, we are already shipping all variants of XL, and we have recently hired several dozen new colleagues for our manufacturing department to speed up the process even more.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Best regards,
The Prusa Research Team"

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
Got the same. Luckily read the the second email first, and then while I was scratching my head I read the first email- and the $6k surcharge... and I'm SO glad I read the second email first.
Though luckily, that error is so large, it is hard to take seriously on second thought.
I guess they are getting closer? Talk about find a room full of horsecrap and thinking "Yeah, a pony!!!!!!!".

I got the same emails.... unfortunately I started a chat. THAT TOOK 1.5 HOURS TO INITIATE. Another ooops from Prusa. Their big announcement this morning is the addition of 'dozens' of new assemblers. GREAT. MORE NEWBIES SCREWING UP PARTS. I certainly don't get a warm feeling when I see some of the 'professionally assembled' printer problems. Warped beds, ugly printed parts, etc. I think Prusa is running on 'no supervision'. All the groups seem to be off and running with no oversight, check and balances, and FOR SURE NO QUALITY CONTROL!!!
I've patiently waited for 2 years.... and I'm certainly rethinking my purchase.

I bet that all of a sudden Customer Service was like BOOM, what the heck just happened...
Have other configs had a surcharge added to them???

RE: Second confirmation of deposit payment
I actually share the same worries. They make one error after the other. Their only line of defense in their blog, about the two years of delays and sad excuses ,is that they are working to deliver a good quality product. Reading comments though from people that received their printers, with problems you also mentioned makes me wonder if after two years of prusas mishaps will end up with a lemon and wait for another half a year for fixes, new parts etc that will again be send "gradually" and according to order date. Prusa ha a LONG way to go before it can be considered a proper company.

RE:
My XL order has been restored from its earlier glitch. I did notice that the options to convert to an MK4 order are no longer present. Perhaps the recovery is not complete or that program has ended.
