Prusa XL – Z height calibration for two toolheads when printing in two colors Post content:

Hello,

I have a Prusa XL with two toolheads. Could you please tell me if there is any setting that allows the printer to check the bed height separately for each toolhead when printing in two colors?

I noticed that when the print starts, the printer only checks the level / height using toolhead (extruder) no. 1. I’m not sure if both toolheads are at exactly the same height. I understand that when we install the nozzles in the toolheads they should end up in the same position, but in practice you can tighten one a bit differently than the other.

Because of this, I can see the difference on the print – one toolhead prints perfectly, while the other is slightly higher or lower.

Is there any way to calibrate the Z height separately for both toolheads, or any workaround for this issue?

Thank you in advance for your help and any tips.

One nozzle does the bed probing and all other nozzles are calculated from that based on the measurements during nozzle offset calibration. If some toolheads are incorrectly offset then you fix it by recalibrating which should be done every time you swap nozzles anyway.
