Has anyone had a look at the filter/electronics package on this? I already had one built, but would like to add the filter/temp control functions to mine.

Well when i go to the store page it shows 729 E to send to Europe. And that i guess its without shipping. And is a heavy thing. And for the time being, the firmware that this enclosure needs (6.*), causes problems with some of the XLs , including mine. I know that a new version came out 6.0.2 but i didn't see anywhere that it addresses this issue.

I just got an email from Prusa that included 150€ discount code for the enclosure (valid until 31st July 2024), apparently all Mini and XL owners should receive the discount code.
Edit: Looks like the cheapest shipping is about 25€ (to Finland)

Reading the assembly instructions I see there are upgrades for the nextruders and tool changer to replace PETG parts with PCCF. They should have already been PCCF. I replaced them after installing a 3rd party enclosure. I used ASA and it seems to be working.

Personally, I think the XL enclosure is silly. That accordion thing blocks the view and it looks leaky.
I've seen several designs here from users that are far better and less expensive to build. So it has groovy LED lights. Wow. Stop the presses.
Looks like it was designed by an intern who was fired.

This is not the enclosure I was looking for.
The accordian blocks the view of the print. It should have acrylic or glass doors on the front. This is a safety feature as much as a functional issue. If something goes wrong I need to know about it ASAP. A camera is no substitute for eyes on the print.
The sloped front edge wastes valuable space on top of the enclosure. The MK4 enclosure could be stacked on top of each other to efficiently use space. This multi-angled top-hat design manages to waste space and (IMO) offers views of tubes I really don't care about. The XL is large but its not that tall. The top of the printer is a functional space it should be used better.
They missed the opportunity to integrate a dry-box spool holder into the enclosure, either on top or even underneath. The XL's side mounted spool holders don't protect the filament and they steal extra space "around" the printer. It makes the XL footprint a foot or more wider than it needs to be. A dry-box above or below the printer would have been ideal.
Huge swing and a miss IMO. I did put this in the cart and the shipping was as expected quite expensive. Even with the discount I was up around $1000 ballpark. I'm not judging their prices - I don't know their business costs or expenses - but I do question the value.

I'll be keeping my 3dupfitters one. I'm not a fan of that design at all.

I don’t love the price tag but outside of that, the enclosure looks to be exactly what I wanted and I ordered one immediately.
The accordion style opening is a footprint reducing approach which makes it super easy to get at the full print area. The plexi up top gives me all the visibility I think I could need, I’m rarely concerned with what’s happening at the bottom of my print and I’ll happily trade that visibility for easy access. It also makes it dead simple to switch over to printing PLA without any cooling issues as I can just drop the accordian.
It might still suck because I haven’t received it yet to find out, but nothing I saw from the announcement makes me think that the other options on the market are better suited to my use… except for the price.

I got the coupon and i'll most probably order it. Im waiting though as much as i can , before the coupon expires, to see if and when the firmware issue will be solved , in the case of the usb problem. I cannot for the time being install any 6.* variant and so the enclosure will not benefit from the firware additions.

I don't understand. If you have the coupon then the Sumo is only about 150 less, but you have to print your own parts (before you have an enclosure) and it doesn't have electronics & filter out of the box. 3D upfitters with filters costs about 150 more and isn't easily available everywhere. If you want the cheapest possible option that is not a cardboard box, then the Creality Enclosure L is unbeatable at 80 bucks.
The looks and harmonica are debatable. Personally I couldn't care less, I only need something that doesn't require constant fiddling and doesn't increase the footprint. Without the coupon it's a bit pricey, but so is every Prusa printer.

I like the fan integration, so I ordered one.
I was expecting the accordion style lower portion, since they've been showing it off before thc XL was even shipping.

I also understood this, i waited a few days and contacted support, the answer was that not all coupons could be sent yet.
I waited a few more days and contacted the support again and got the answer: the coupons will be issued in trouchen.
I still don't know if I will get a voucher
