First Layer Issues
Hi All,
I am looking for some help. I have recently started to have issues with my first layers. The first layer always seems to be to close to the bed and is over extruding I am not really sure why and I was wondering has anyone else has these issues if so how did they fix it? Did you change your Z offset in the slicer or anything else, I would like a more consistent first layer.
Cheers

Yes, I have the same problem when printing with the second extruder (0.4mm). I recorded a video with the problem, it must be the same as you have.
Another problem is the "Mintemp HeatBreak Error" warning, it is a random problem. I checked the system with no results, the problems still persist
RE:
Hi Luke,
I might resolve the issue follow this steps:
- Homing XY
- Cleaning with a Kleenex double o triple folding (be careful with the hot nozzle, its maybe at 210ºC)
- Recalibrating the tools (I have 2 ) : Control > Calibration & Test > Tool Offset Calibration, follow the instructions.
- print a short object.
The Offset calibration change de Z=0.62 to Z=0.42 mm, that was the reason the obstruction filament when the first layer were less than 0.3 mm. After I try a first layer off 0.5 mm and don't have the issue. This was the suspect reason I try to make a new Offset recalibration.
I hope this answer solve your problem.
