Bare metal build plate for XL?
Hello.
For printing TPU on my MK3S+ I used a build plate that was plain spring steel, no coating. This was a lesson learned after ripping up a PEI build plate.
Does anyone know a trustworthy source for a bare metal build plate for the XL, preferably in the US? The Googles are failing me today.
Thank you.

Wham Bam has theirs without any surface. I also use them for TPU.
But the Satin sheet is used more. The TPU sticks a little too well to it, but it still peels off.

I print TPU on the satin sheet. It works great. Just make sure it's clean.

OK. I'm surprised because TPU can be tenacious. Especially with a clean satin sheet I'd expect it to stick really badly. I don't want to damage a build plate that's over $80

I've found that soaking the base of the TPU print with IPA after the print plate has cooled down almost magically releases it from the build plate. Then all you need is to wipe it off and you have done two things at the same time; released and cleaned.

Excellent. Thank you, @suprchunk! I've ordered the metal sheet. It's been a while since I printed with TPU, but I believe I used bare metal with hairspray in the past.

I've only used hairspray on my old CR-10S and Tevo Tornado. But that was because of the glass beds. I could never get good adhesion on those glass beds. Maybe I should have scuffed them up?
If you use the satin sheet...it grips TPU like velcro.
Good luck, and don't forget to calibrate it. Those WB Prusa sheets are thinner.
