RE: 6.4.0-alpha Firmware for Prusa XL
Bonjour,
I switched to the Alpha version, and I'm still experiencing the same problems mentioned above. I've checked everything: axis alignment, belt tension, etc. My belts were running at 77 Hz, so I increased the tension to 82 Hz. Since then, I haven't had any issues. I'm printing for over 12 hours without any crashes. Now I'm going to test it with multiple colors and will let you know how it goes.

Just noticed RC2 was released. Any better than the Alpha?

So far so good. But I'm only on my second print.

So far so good here as well!
6.4.0 RC2 - Prusa Link broken RE: 6.4.0-alpha Firmware for Prusa XL
6.4.0 RC2 seems to wrok well enough, but Prusa Link shows all status as "NA" or "NA/NA" and doesn't allow access to the printer's storage. Prusa Connect still works.
RE: 6.4.0-alpha Firmware for Prusa XL
I’ve run about three days’ worth of printing with multiple jobs that together had over 3,000 tool swaps. No toolhead crashes, so that part looks solid now.
The only issue I’ve seen is with the auto-retract at the end of PLA prints. It works fine with Prusament, but a couple of cheaper PLA rolls leave small blobs on the filament tip during retract. That blob then causes a stuck-filament error on the next print because it can’t pass through the heatbreak.
This might be solved by adding a tip-forming routine similar to what the MMU does when retracting filament, or by briefly lowering nozzle temperature before the final retract. For what it’s worth, I haven’t seen this with ASA or PETG. I'm disabling auto-retract for now, but I like the feature. Hope they fine tune it to make it reliable.
