Gaps between materials

Prusa XL 5 head, 5.1.2 firmware. All PLA.

Trying to print multiple parts right against eachother but getting a gap on one side. You can see the gap in the picture and what I'm trying to accomplish in the slicer.

1) what do I need to adjust/fix to resolve this. Seems like maybe a belt issue? I'm sure there's a guide somewhere, can someone point me to it?j

2) is this a reasonable design method or am I expecting too much and should design for some overlap?

the final result was pretty cool for a prototype but I'd like to refine this so I don't have gaps.

file available here if you want to look at it and see if there's anything obviously wrong with the design/file.

RE: Gaps between materials

I've just re-run the calibration and I'm printing a test now to see if there's any difference.

After running the calibration again, the gap is much better. however it is still there.

I'm wondering if this is just material shrinkage? I may just need to adjust my design methods
