Filament stuck issues.

Brand new 5 head machine.

ran through all calibration tests twice. No major issues. Try the first print: the included benchy on tool 1 with the included Prusa filament on a well cleaned bed.

layershift error just below the first deck outer edge overhang. Happened after I had to fix a “filament stuck” error. Otherwise finished OK.

Second try: assume a similar error but print did not stop or alert, benchy just not printed above about the same layer height as the layershift on previous.

Third try: checked the filament spool and feed: looks ok. Reclean the bed. Reprint but sit on it like watching a pot boil. Prints ok, no issues except not quality I expected.

try the pug from the test files: repeated “stuck filament”. Like 5 times in 15 minutes.

abort print and re-do the load cell tests on all toolheads. All pass.

try again the pug. No issues after 15 min so I leave it go. Come back when done: left front leg is spaghetti but otherwise rest of print fine.

try the test knight helmet: fine first 10 min so leave. Come back: layer shift again about same height as previous benchys, then a new filament stuck error.

i looked on the Prusa site for loadcell fixes and they show how to loosen certain screws, but not for the multi-tool head.

any help?

Bit of rant below so feel free to skip.

I’ve been printing FDM and Resin four about 4 years. Started (FDM) with the ender 3 v2, then an Elegoo Kobra Max. So I am used to tinkering. But….I HATE tinkering. I do not enjoy the 3D printer engineer hobby. I want to print neat/useful stuff.

I got a Bambu X1 carbon before I realized the shittiness of the company and will never buy another of their products. I bought the xl multitool to support a Good company.

(you’ve probably guessed where this is going next) But as shitty as Bambu is the damn printer JUST WORKS. I have not had to screw with it to get good prints.

Im willing to deal with some tinkering. But for what I paid for this thing that “some tinkering” is gonna hit a limit.

'Stuck filament detection'  is a setting that needs some fine  tuning to be useful. I've turned it off, (lazy...) and haven't regretted it so far.
