High Pitched Noises on Fast XY Moves
I know noise issues have been asked and discussed and I've tried researching as much as possible but most of the threads I've read had their noise issues mostly resolved with input shaping, so I just need a direction.
Normal printing my XL is not much louder than my 4S or 3.9S (besides those wicked noisy fans), but on long, fast XY movements, like tool changes, the high pitched noise gets so loud you can hear it from another room. I don't think that's a resonance issue, but I could very well be wrong. I've added some sound deadening material to the bottom plate and under the printer...didn't make much difference in that high pitched sound. Haven't added a paver underneath yet. Thinking about the community enclosure.
Would any of that help? If anyone has links to prior discussions, I'd appreciate it. I swear I tried the search function but either it or myself is faulty. 🙂
