Why, oh why, do we need YET ANOTHER set of subforums....

Why not just add ONE "single-to-multi tool upgrade" subforum to the Multi-Tool forums?

The forums are already unwieldy, and many topics get posted in the wrong forum, or topics that have been answered in one forum get raised again in another because no one can keep track.

Keep it simple.

Agreed. There's 18 English-language XL forums, several of which don't even show up on the main listing of English forums. There's dedicated forums just for input shaping which are essentially unused, and the others are hardly busy enough to need splitting up into separate forums...and some of what is there is duplicate discussions of the same topic. The job could be done better with just 5 forums, if that.

I don't even see why we need separate Multi and Single tool subforums. 90% of questions and issues probably apply to both.  Now if there's an XL print bed question I have to post it in 3 forums? 🙂

On this note, is there some difference between a single tool upgraded to multi that I'm not aware of?

I gave up using the forums as designed and simply hit 'Recent Posts'. I may not even check which forum a post is in unless something is ambivalent.

Cheerio,

Can we get the mods to combine them?

I agree that there are too many forum categories.

I agree. It's already a pain having separate single and multi-tool sections. This is a foolish decision.

Having a split between single and multi-tool already made it hard to find stuff. This is just ridiculous now :\

the forum has got pretty useless.

if there would be one XL section it would be much better.

now there is pretty much every thread in 4 subforums. and the usefull information is evenly spread ...

it  faster to find information on redit...

We have specific forums for input shaping, are we going to get more forums for phase stepping and phase stepping + input shaping when 6.0 is released, for every printer that supports them? If input shaping merits separate forums, why not separate versions of every forum for nozzle size and filament type, and whether an enclosure is used? Is it not obvious that this is not a reasonable approach to forum organization?
