Cool - you found my post!
Still working on the stuff, printing the parts myself to make sure everything should fit. But I can give you a first glimpse at the manual and how it is built together, see attached DRAFT manual =)

/Edit: Grml. Seems that the attachment here in the forum doesn't work. Can you guys confirm?

I’m new to all this, but I think a HEPA filter should be the top priority. Many of us probably don’t have the space to keep our 3D Printers a safe distance from the air we and our families breathe.
Safety should always be the top priority.

Most people don't print problematic materials though and some people have the printer stand in the garage or basement. So IMHO an optional HEPA Filter would be sufficient.

Looks promising.   Does the top front open?

Yep. Cover front is a door on hinges on the top. I though of leaving that open when printing PLA for example.

Great idea.  I will print one as soon as I finish the one for my Predator.

Great manual! Very easy to follow. Fantastic job.

There are lots of pieces and maybe I am wrong, but I think 1 file is missing: Frame_Rear_Extension_Right_1x

You posted the left but not the right and from the manual drawings they seem different, not just mirrored.

Also, I wanted to ask on steps 5 to 11, you are using 3D printed guides on top of the 3030 alu profile to install acrylic panels of 4mm. But 3030 (I think is what Prusa is using but don't have my printer yet to check) has slots of 8mm on each side of the profile. Wouldn't it be easier to just use a gasket to insert the acrylic sheet on the profile or just silicone putty to secure the acrylic?

My 2 cents..

Nonetheless, outstanding job! And triple kudos for posting it free.

Grml. You are right, naming missmatch. Uploaded another part multiple times with wrong name. Have updated the files.

Yes, prusa profiles have 8mm wide grove. I was just focusing on printed parts, but you are right. Btw: Feel free to remix =)

RE: XL full enclosure

Well clearly that has not happened.  The XL is now down to shipping the tail end 5 extruder model, and still no word of an enclosure. So, I'm considering making my own, from PC sheeting, and metal assembly all bought locally in NZ.  But has anyone else come up with a design already, and even selling them ?

Posted by: @dvillalba3d

Since Prusa isn't telling us much, what do you think is going to be Prusa's direction with the enclosure?

Do you guys believe it will be at the time of the XL release?

Would there be something you wish they will do differently for the XL (Compared with MK3)?

What should have your ideal enclosure?

$1200 for some acrylic and plastic fittings is a joke. You're better off going down and buying some glass panes for a few dollars each and having them cut to size.

Hence the DIY one is a much better option.

I'm still curious to see what Prusa comes out with.  I've been very happy with their enclosure for the MK3.

Whaaat… Has there been some info released or is this speculation.

The item discussed earlier in this thread costs circa $250 nzd in PC/ACRYLIC sheeting plus the filament and hardware items

Yeah, the Clearview is pricy and HUGE. But most of all, is really cumbersome to use, with those tiny doors. I wouldn't like to have to service the toolheads with that enclosure on...
