XL firmware lite for HEAVY modifications to hardware thus also the firmware. No seriously HEAVY.

I am not even 3D printing with this XL. I extrude a custom ink like liquid from a Hamilton screw drive syringe that is driven by a customized tool-head. My entire g-code "print" file is only several hundred  instructions long so I just hand write my g-code including the homing sequence which is also done via a custom device. I need some help paring down the un-compiled firmware files to a manageable set so that I can find all the functions that I need to be able to change. I have done this with marlin many times but the raw prusa firmware files are complicated by the inclusion of several printers as well as the multiple boards (i.e. buddy board) files. I am kind of lost in the weeds. My question is this: which files do I need to have in the Visual Studio Code project for my XL printer and which ones can I definitely get rid of?

Visit Prusa's github for sources, you may need to examine code as the documentation tends to lag.

Cheerio,
