Thermal Runaway

I am printing models that are large details projections off the bed no higher than 5 mm. Printing time about 5-6 hours.  I have been getting an error "Thermal Runaway" Aout halfway through the printing. Knowledge base says it is an uncontrolled drop in temperature and the Nozzle heater can't supply enough heat to compensate.

I closed door and window blinds to keep the ambient temperature constant and have blocked off the bed fan 75% with tape. (I probably could adjust the fan speed above a certain layer?) .

Are there any other ways to fix this???

RE: Thermal Runaway

I had a thermal runaway that happened shortly after the fan went up to full speed.
It turns you my problem was wires going to the thermal sensor were being cooled down so much that it was causeing the reported temprature to be dropping, even though the heater blockwas on full power.
I solved the problem by covering the whole heater block in silicone cement.

RE: Thermal Runaway

Please check if you're in the right subforum. Last time I checked there was no heater block in SL1 printer 🙂
