elephant foot for rectangular/square prints down on the print platform
All,
I am getting a very small elephant foot on square/rectangular prints that I print right on the build platform. It is an exact match for what I've seen on my MK3 when I have the bed temp too high/settings not quite right.
It dawned on me, for the SL1, I'm uncertain how I can compensate for this? Ideally I'd like to print the part on the build plate to get a flat surface. Overall I'm trying to build tight fighting mechanical parts and some parts for producing molds, so crisp/accurate edges are needed.
I'm asuming perhaps this is the UV reflecting/scattering slightly off the build plate perhaps? Especially since it tends to shrink after the first few layers are printed. Perhaps I need the first layer exposure time to be decreased to help there.
This is a minor gripe, I can easily sand/scrape the foot off with very little effort.

What is the question?
