Using Elegoo Water Washable/Standard Polymer Resin in the SL1S

I work in a makerspace that purchases Elegoo-brand resin for use in a Prusa SL1S. What would be the best exposure/initial exposure times for the Water Washable and Standard Polymer Resins (respectively) in this printer? I am not currently able to connect the printer to WiFi to run the calibration test. Both of these resins are 405nm.

Thank you!

Hi Jules. I would like to know the same thing about the water washable. I found this site with a repository of settings, and I will try them. I am using the default settings from Elegoo and had some luck but not so much luck (user error).

https://4dfiltration.com/resources/resin-print-settings.html

There are some sl1s settings for Elegoo plant based, but not water washable.

RE:

I have the same GENERAL question for Siraya resins.

Is there a quick, easy, reliable way to convert chitubox print settings to SL1S settings ?

Remembering that SL1S is a tilt platform, chitus are NOT.

Doesn't the SL1S have a calibration print that helps tune into the best settings for a new resin?  AIR, it prints the same object several times with each object having slightly different settings.  You evaluate the the printed objects and pick the setting that works best for that resin.

They do indeed, but it would be nice to have a starting point, preferably one that is CLOSE.

Thinking of getting into larger format anyway, so this may be moot since once I get things up and good on a bigger printer it would likely be hard to turn back and go through the "translation" learning curve to a tilt bed.

YAT (yet another tangent)  seems there could be a market for small tanks on large printers ?

I use eSun's water washableresin with SL1S.

I get the best threads with 2 seconds for the base layers and 35 seconds for the support layers. The only thing is that water soluble resins are much inferior to conventional resins in terms of strength of small parts. So I only use this resin for printing large parts.

SL1S, CW1S
